Santo is a small community in southeast Palo Pinto County, where I-20 crosses US-281. It's ranch country: open pasture, mesquite and oak, and creeks draining to the Brazos. We build pipe fence, high fence, water gaps, and gates, put up shops and barns on pads we cut, and dig stock tanks.
Building around Santo
Santo is small, but two highways meet here. I-20 runs east to Weatherford and west to Strawn and Eastland. US-281 runs north to Mineral Wells and south to Stephenville. In between are ranch land, hay meadows, and homes on acreage, with Santo ISD in the middle of it.
The country gets rougher here than in Parker County. Pasture turns to mesquite and oak, the rises get rocky, and the draws cut toward the Brazos. A single perimeter can cross sandy pasture, a rock ledge, and a creek before it closes. Each one takes posts a different way, so the walk sets both the plan and the price.
This is cattle country, and on long perimeters pipe top rail over wire earns its keep. Where a line crosses a creek, a water gap holds stock and lets floodwater through. Deer and exotics live here too. If you want to keep them in or out, ask about high fence.
Shops, hay barns, and equipment covers go on a pad cut above the runoff. With I-20 and US-281 right here, a trailer of pipe or a load of base gets to Santo without fighting back roads. The last mile to your place can be another story after a rain, so we'll ask about access on the first call.
What we build in Santo
- Pipe fence
Around the headquarters and along the road, pipe fence stands up to cattle rubbing and leaning where wire gives out.
- High fence & game fence
Near Santo, high fence climbs rocky rises and crosses draws, so each corner and low spot gets its own plan.
- Water gaps
Each creek crossing on Santo-area pasture gets a water gap built for the size of the channel and the drift it carries.
- Ranch gates & openers
An entry off US-281 or a county road needs room for a gooseneck to pull clear of the road before the gate opens.
- Shops, barns & covers
A hay barn or equipment cover sits on a pad graded so runoff goes around it, not under it.
- Ponds & stock tanks
On rocky ground like this, a stock tank only works where the soil holds water. We check before we dig.

Permits and rules
We haven't checked Palo Pinto County's rules for this page. Places around Santo are generally outside any city's limits, so call the county about septic or floodplain before a pad or tank goes in. If your address does fall inside a city, call them too.
Santo questions
Do you build high fence around Santo?
Yes. High fence means taller posts, heavier corners, and a plan for every draw on the line. We walk it with you and price it on site. Our high fence vs. barbed wire post lays out the trade-offs.
Is Santo in Palo Pinto County or Parker County?
Palo Pinto, in the southeast part of the county. That's who to ask about septic and floodplain before a pad or tank goes in.
Will you come out to Santo for just a gate?
Ask. Santo is on I-20, west of our Weatherford-area base. A single entry gate or a repair is worth a call, and we may pair it with other work nearby.
