Aledo sits in the southeast corner of Parker County, right against the Tarrant County line, and much of the land around it is still horse country. We build pipe fence and entry gates there, put up barns and shops, and do the pad and pond work that goes with them.
Building around Aledo
Aledo grew fast, but not every pasture turned into a subdivision. Along FM 1187 and the county roads south and west of town you'll still find horse places, small ranches, and open grass. A few acres with room for a barn usually needs one thing first: a fence that keeps horses in and looks right from the road.
East of Weatherford the country opens toward the Fort Worth Prairie. More grass, fewer trees, and limestone that can sit shallow under the topsoil. Long straight pipe runs work well on that ground. They also show every wave in a rail that wasn't set to a string line. So we string the line, set posts to grade, and weld rails so the top reads flat from the road.
A lot of Aledo places front a county road or a newer street, so the fence is the first thing anybody sees. Clean corners, even post tops, and good paint matter here about as much as holding stock. We build for both. Gates hang level and close on their own latch. The entry sits back far enough that a truck and trailer get off the road before the gate opens.
Aledo is close to I-20 and close to our base, so several jobs on one place can run as one stretch: fence first, then a horse barn on a pad we prep, then a tank in the low corner where runoff already collects.
What we build in Aledo
- Pipe fence
Horse fence fits many Aledo places: pipe with no-climb wire, run straight along the road where the neighbors see it every day.
- Ranch gates & openers
After the front fence, a pipe entry with an opener is the natural next step, set back so a trailer clears the road.
- Shops, barns & covers
Horse barns go up on a pad we prep. For sheds and covers, tell us what you need. Inside city limits, Aledo requires a permit for accessory buildings.
- Dirt work & pads
Shallow limestone near Aledo can change how a building pad or drive gets cut. We look before we price it.
- Ponds & stock tanks
A small stock tank in the low corner of a horse place gives runoff somewhere to go and gives the animals water.

Permits and rules
The City of Aledo requires permits for fences and accessory buildings inside city limits. Plenty of Aledo mailing addresses are actually in unincorporated Parker County. There's no county building permit out there, but septic and floodplain work is still regulated. Find out which one you're in before we set the first post.

Aledo questions
Do I need a fence permit in Aledo?
Inside Aledo city limits, the city requires permits for fences and accessory buildings. In unincorporated Parker County there's no county building permit, but septic and floodplain rules still apply.
Can you match the pipe fence my neighbor already has?
Usually. Send a photo and the rail count if you know it. We'll look at the neighbor's fence when we come out and match it as close as the pipe allows.
Do you build horse barns near Aledo?
Barns are part of our shops and barns work, set on a pad we cut. For stalls or other interior work, tell us what you have in mind and we'll say if it fits. Get the manufacturer's stamped drawings from your building supplier in case the city wants them with the permit.
