Peaster is a farm and ranch community northwest of Weatherford, on FM 920 north of US-180, with its own school district, Peaster ISD. We build pipe fence, entry gates, shops, barns, and barndominium shells around it, plus the pad, drive, and tank work they need.
Building around Peaster
North of US-180, Parker County rolls out in open pasture and scattered post oak. Hay meadows follow the creeks, with small ranches between. Around Peaster you'll find horse places, a few head of cattle on small acreage, and new houses on what was pasture not long ago. Peaster ISD is here, and FM 920 runs through heading north.
The soil swings between sandy loam and red clay, sometimes in the same pasture. Sand digs fast, so posts need to go deep and get tamped hard or they'll wallow. Clay holds water and moves as it wets and dries, so corners and gate posts get extra care. We find out what's under the grass on the walk, not after the first post is in.
Horses and pipe go together up here. Pipe with no-climb wire keeps hooves out and gives a horse a line it can see. Across the back of the place, pipe top rail over wire holds the line for less per foot. If a creek cuts the back pasture, ask about a water gap where the fence meets it.
Buildings are the other half of the work around Peaster. A barndominium shell or shop on a new tract needs a pad above the drainage, a drive that'll carry a concrete truck, and an entry gate that truck fits through. We plan all three on one walk. On a barndo we do the shell, the slab, and the site work. Wiring, plumbing, and interior finish go to your own contractors.
What we build in Peaster
- Pipe fence
On horse places around Peaster, pipe with no-climb keeps hooves out of the wire and gives horses a line they can see.
- Pipe top rail over wire
Out back, pipe top rail over wire holds the line for less per foot than full pipe.
- Ranch gates & openers
The entry gate has to clear a concrete truck while the barndo goes up and a horse trailer after. We size it for both.
- Metal buildings
A metal building for hay or equipment sits on a pad we prep, with the open side turned away from the worst weather.
- Barndominium shells
A barndominium shell near Peaster starts with a pad above the drainage. We do the pad, the slab, and the structure.
- Dirt work & pads
Peaster red clay holds water, so pads and drives get built up and crowned to shed it.

Permits and rules
Places around Peaster are mostly in unincorporated Parker County. The county issues no building permits there but does regulate septic and floodplain work, so a barndo or tank near a creek may need a look first. If you're inside a city's limits, call that city first.

Peaster questions
Do you build barndominium shells near Peaster?
Yes. We handle the ground and the structure: the pad, the slab, and the building. Wiring, plumbing, and finishes go to the contractors you hire for that. See barndominium shells.
Will a pipe fence hold in the sandy ground around Peaster?
Yes, if the posts go deep enough and get packed. Sand digs easy but lets a shallow post work loose. We check the soil on the walk and set the depth to match.
