Cleburne is the Johnson County seat, where US-67 crosses TX-174. Lake Pat Cleburne is on the south side of town and Cleburne State Park is off to the southwest. Around Cleburne we build pipe fence, pipe top rail, high fence, water gaps, ranch gates, and fence repair. Here, fence is all we do.
Building around Cleburne
Johnson County straddles two kinds of ground, and Cleburne sits right on the seam. East of town the dirt gets dark and heavy, the edge of Blackland country. West and southwest, out toward the state park and the Brazos, it climbs into limestone hills with cedar and oak. A place a few miles from the courthouse could be on either one.
Each one takes a post differently. Heavy clay swells wet and cracks dry, so a shallow post drifts out of line over a few seasons, corners and gate first. Limestone holds a post fine once you're through it, but getting through is slow. Before we price the line, we figure out which one you've got, or how much of each, and it's priced on site.
Cleburne has grown, and the acreage around it is now a mix of horse places, small cattle operations, and homes on a few acres off US-67 and TX-174. Those owners want a front that looks finished, fence that holds what they keep, and an entry gate they can open from the truck. If a creek crosses the back of the place, a water gap keeps the fence closed and the water moving.
Cleburne sits on the south side of our map, so we plan the trip around fence work. Send photos and a map pin through the quote form or call 254-716-5760, and we'll go over the line with you before we head down.
What we build in Cleburne
- Pipe fence
On horse places near Cleburne, we set pipe fence posts for clay or for rock, depending on which side of town you're on.
- Pipe top rail over wire
Small Johnson County cattle places can run pipe top rail over wire across the back pasture instead of full pipe.
- High fence & game fence
The cedar and oak hills toward the state park hold deer. High fence out there needs tall corners braced and set in rock.
- Ranch gates & openers
Hang a gate on a deep-set, braced hinge post and it keeps swinging level when the clay shifts.
- Fence repair & rebuilds
Storm damage, a broken weld, a corner that's leaning: repair around Cleburne fixes what caused it before fixing how it looks.

Permits and rules
We haven't checked Cleburne's or Johnson County's fence rules for this page. Inside city limits, call the City of Cleburne before work starts. Out in the county, ask Johnson County. We'll build to what they require.
Cleburne questions
Do you build shops or do dirt work around Cleburne?
Not around Cleburne. Down here it's fence only: pipe fence, pipe top rail, high fence, water gaps, gates, and repair. We do buildings and dirt work closer to home, in towns like Weatherford and Granbury.
My place near Cleburne has both clay and rock. Does that change the price?
It can. Rock slows down the post holes. Clay needs deeper posts and solid bracing. We walk the line, see how much of each you have, and price it on site.
