Pipe fence and ranch gates in Cisco, TX

Cisco is a small Eastland County town where I-20 crosses US-183, west of Eastland on the way to Abilene, with Lake Cisco north of town. We come out for fence work on the places around it: pipe fence, ranch gates, high fence, water gaps on the creeks, and repair. That's the list for Cisco trips.

Building around Cisco

Ranches spread out from those two highways in every direction. It's open, rolling country, with mesquite in the pastures and oak along the draws. It feels more like West Texas than Fort Worth, and the fence needs match: long lines, cattle, and wind.

Plenty of fence out this way has seen better days. Old posts, sagging wire, a gate dragging in the dirt. Wind and dry summers are hard on wire, and a lot of these lines have been stretched and patched more times than anyone can count. Sometimes a repair does it: new braces, a rewelded rail, a reset hinge post. Sometimes the line is far enough gone that rebuilding beats patching it again. We'll tell you which after we see it, not before.

When it's a rebuild, pipe posts with a single welded rail over wire make sense out here. It holds cattle, gives the wind little to push on, and is easier to keep up than a tired wire fence on wood posts.

We plan Cisco jobs so the crew spends the day working. If a neighbor near Eastland or out toward Abilene needs fence too, mention it. Lake Cisco has homes and small places around it, and those usually call for something different from the ranches: a clean pipe front on the road, a gate that looks like it belongs, and fence that doesn't need attention every spring.

Cisco questions

Do you come out as far as Cisco?

Yes. Our map runs from Fort Worth west to Abilene, and Cisco sits on I-20 inside it. Send photos through the quote form or text 254-716-5760, and we'll plan the trip.

Should I repair my old fence or replace it?

It comes down to the corners and posts. If the braces are sound, a repair usually holds. If the corners are rotted or leaning, a rebuild is often money better spent. We'll look and give it to you straight.
