Rural pasture and fence line at sunset

Weatherford · Parker County · Fort Worth to Abilene and Waco

Pipe fence, shops, and land work for the whole place

We lay out and build the fence, the shop, and the land work around them. One owner-run crew out of Weatherford.

What we build

Fence, buildings, and land work

Fain Land & Construction builds for acreage owners, horse and cattle places, and new shop builds. We walk the place with you, lay it out, spec it, and build it: the pipe fence, the entry, the shop, and the dirt work under and around it. Fence and gate work runs from Fort Worth west to Abilene and south to Waco. Buildings and dirt work start in Parker, Hood, Palo Pinto, and Erath counties.

Fence

Welded pipe fence leads. We also build high fence, barbed wire, water gaps, pens, and the gates that tie it together.

Buildings

Metal buildings, shops, barns, and barndominium shells, each set on a pad we build for that building.

Land

Dirt work, pads, drives, stock tanks, and mechanical clearing, done by the same crew that builds your fence and shop.

One crew, more than one trade

Typical jobs we build

These are job types we build, not a portfolio of finished work. Each one shows how the trades fit together on a single place, from the first walk to cleanup. Write-ups of real jobs, with the town, footage, and photos, go up on projects as jobs finish.

Typical job · Horse place

Horse place perimeter: pipe with no-climb and a drive gate

A pipe fence around a horse place: welded pipe posts and rails with 2x4 no-climb wire on the inside, a bottom rail close to the ground, and a wide drive gate where trucks and trailers come in. It's built to keep horses from getting hurt, not just to keep them in.

How we price a job

You won't find a per-foot number on this site. A number built on somebody else's ground won't fit yours. Every job is priced on site, after we walk it with you. Here's what moves the number:

  • Pipe size and wall thickness
  • New pipe or used oilfield pipe, and the grade
  • Post depth and spacing, and whether it's rock or soil
  • Rail count, fence height, and any wire under the rails
  • Gate count, gate width, and whether you want an opener
  • Slope, creek crossings, and brush that has to come off the line
  • Welding time at every joint
  • Paint
  • Truck and equipment access
  • For buildings and pads: building size, fill, drainage, and the drive in

Send us the town, rough footage or acreage, gate count, and a few photos. We'll text or call to set a site visit, then give you a written number once we've seen it. For more on each driver, read what drives pipe fence cost.

Questions

What people ask us

How is pipe fence priced?

On site, after we walk the line. Pipe size and wall, new or used, post depth, rails, gates, ground, and brush all move the number. See what drives pipe fence cost.

Can you do the fence, the shop, and the dirt work?

Yes. One owner-run crew lays out and builds the fence line, the entry, the shop, and the land work around them. See all services.

What towns do you work in?

We're based in Weatherford and work from Fort Worth west to Abilene and south to Waco. Buildings and dirt work start in Parker, Hood, Palo Pinto, and Erath counties. See where we work.

Can I send photos for a quote?

Yes. Add them to the quote form or text them to 254-716-5760. We'll still walk the place before we give you a written number.

What is a water gap, and do I need one?

It's where your fence crosses a creek or draw. It holds stock and lets floodwater through. If your line crosses anything that runs after a rain, you need one. See water gaps.

Do you finish barndominium interiors?

No. We build the shell, the slab, and the site. Your own finish contractors handle interiors, electrical, and plumbing. See barndominiums.

How do you clear land?

Mechanically, by mulching, dozing, grubbing, and trimming. See land clearing.
